The G8 and G20 meetings in Canada… A big party of the mass media!

By the way of the G8 and G20 meetings in Huntsville and Toronto, I would like to say that with a few exceptions, the mass media has created two false scenarios.

By one side, an apprehensive and concerned powerful people, apparently planning how to save the world; powerful and rich countries planning how to feed and get out of poverty more than three thousand million of dispossessed people, and offering solutions to fix the environmental catastrophes around the planet.

In the meantime, there is another side, but this one appears to be orphan in proposals, aimlessly, without dreams and hopes… Just violent people expressing themselves through chaos and violence.

Then: violence, chaos and vandalism versus peace and progress… Such a fake scenario isn’t?

The media has ignored the voice, the ideas and platforms from several grassroots organizations, all of them pacifists against the occupation in Iraq and Afghanistan, against the free trade between Colombia and Canada, against the criminal exploitation of mining companies and corporations in the third world. The mass media has ignored the arisen voice of those dispossessed!
